Crank window opener

A quick learner from Castro valley says:

The crank handle on my window feels like it's getting striped out or skipping a rotation from time to time. The problem seems to be getting worse. I pulled the handle off and the splines seem to be ok. There is metal dust and appears to be coming from inside the peice in the pics. Hoping I can find a replacement part. Thanks.

It definitely sounds like the gears are stripping out. I think it's time to consider replacement. 

We carry a ton of different operators, but I can't determine what yours is without seeing it first removed from the window. Would that be possible? 

Once I see the operator mechanism in its entirety, I'll check our inventory for a possible match.
