Delicate Pivot Shoe removal

I'm looking to replace the entire balance, pivot bars and pivot shoes on two windows in my home. The window jamb does not have cut outs to easily remove the pivot shoes but I'm concerned the vinyl/plastic components to the jamb will snap if I attempt to use the jamb spreaders. Do you have any suggestions to remove the shoes? Of course I'll also need to replace them.

Thank you

Another thing I should add after reviewing the "cut out" method video is that my window has these threaded stops in the sides of the jamb that don't allow the pivot shoe to slide to the top. They don't seem to be able to be removed either. Is this the window repair from hell?

The screw above your shoe is an adjustment screw that brings the vinyl track in and out. Screw the screw further inside the track so your pivot shoe can clear. As for the pivot shoe itself, it could be either the 15-178 or 15-188. After you remove your old shoe, compare your dimensions to ours to confirm the best match. The pivot bar might be our 26-352, 26-226 or 26-316. Please compare these to your own and see what you think. Finally, for the balance system, see our 5/8" diameter Series 600 spiral balance.
