Double hung windows

Older home we just purchased, don't think windows had been opened in a very long time. When opened and tilted in to clean most of these were broken or broke when I tilted window.

Thanks for writing in. This is called a pivot shoe. Your exact one is no longer made, but our 15-177 should replace it. These shoes connect with Series 152 Coil Balances, which help regulate the movement of the window. Let me know if you have further questions.
