Exterior Facing Sliding Screen Door Handle

A home owner from IL says:
We recently moved into our home and the screen door appears to be missing a part (or two) as it is very difficult to lift the latch to open from the outside.

Casey from SWISCO responded:

Hello,

It seems like your door may use the 83-115 Pella latch shown below. This part normally breaks due to the failure of the internal spring mechanism. Unfortunately, Pella does not supply it separately to our knowledge since the door itself is no longer made.

Since Pella uses brand-specific hardware, unfortunately, there is no generic replacement that we can supply. I'm sorry that we won't be able to offer more assistance but please let us know if you have any other hardware questions. Thanks for posting.
