Hurd casement window crank

A quick learner says:

Hi,

I need to replace the mechanism for a few window cranks for Hurd windows.

I'm adding photos of the cranks that need replacing.

Thanks,

Ela

Hello,

Your operator arms resemble the 39-388 and 39-387. Review the diagram below and see if the dimensions match your assembly. For a compatible crank handle, go with the 39-114L. Thank you!

Dimensions for 39-387
Dimensions for 39-387

A quick learner from NM says:
The dimensions don't seem to fit. The current crank is 3.5/4 inches (total arm length of short and long arm).
Would this model still work?

Casey from SWISCO responded:

I'm sorry for the confusion but I'm not quite sure what your dimensions are. Do you mean that the 3-1/2" link arm on our operator matches but the 4-3/4" base arm is only 4" on your part?

A quick learner from NM says:
Yes

Casey from SWISCO responded:

Just to confirm, are you measuring the base arm from the center to the gear to the rivet that attaches to the link arm as shown in our photo?

A quick learner from NM says:
I had a hard time measuring it from the middle as the design is a bit different. The 4 inch was total length, not from the middle.

Casey from SWISCO responded:

The arm gears are mostly obstructed by the sill trim when the operator is installed. I would recommend removing the operator from the window to be sure that our dimensions match up to yours.

A quick learner from NM says:
Do you have a suggestion for a different crank that might fit?

Casey from SWISCO responded:

Based on what is shown in your photos and the information provided, the 39-387 and 39-388 would be our best replacement options. We would need to see your operator fully removed from the window and confirm your exact dimensions measured as shown in the images we've provided to determine if a closer match is available.
