Lock for 2007 pgt sliding door

A home owner from Punta gorda fl 33982 says:

We bought our home here about 3 years ago. House supposedly built about 2007 using pgt doors. A few days ago the lock stopped working. The arm does not always pop out now. Not sure if it is the end unit or perhaps the lock pivot loose or broken. If possible we likely would buy a whole new lock set. Our unit does not have a key option on outside. Thank you.

Hello,

Your mortise lock resembles our 82-229 depending on how the dimensions below compare to yours. With that being said, it looks like someone may have adapted this hardware to work for your door since the cutout does not appear to match the faceplate of your lock. You can still purchase this lock as a replacement if it has worked well up until now but it is something to keep in mind if the lock continues to fail in the future.

We also offer the 82-030 handle set with 3-15/16" hole spacing that is commonly used with this type of mortise lock. We also offer the 82-030A and 82-030B keyed options depending on whether your original thumb latch is centered or offset on the handle. Take a look and see what you think. Thank you!
