Need help finding the right replacement balances for windows.

A handy person from Las Vegas, NV says:
Hello, this is Jason.
I have 8 windows that are all the same and they need new balances. I have attached pictures of both of the ends of the balance currently in there now. The balance measures from metal edge to metal edge 29". It is the 1/2" (or 9/16") wide balance. The window sash is roughly 19-20lbs. The bottom clip is about 1 1/16" tall in the balance. The numbers on the balance read 28-4 LX CMC 7. I hope this information helps and you help me right the right one. Thank you and hoping to hear back really soon so I can get these ordered.

Hi Jason,

Thanks for writing in! Your channel balance appears to be the Series 395 Channel Balance with a winged top and and a wingless bottom shoe. Since your channel measures 29", you'll need the S395-29.

Since your sash weighs 19 - 20lbs, you'll need to select the 2830 stamp option. This stamp can support a sash weighing 16 to 23lbs. Although, I would suggest double checking the sash weight given your stamp.

Hi Jasmine,

What is the suggested weight given my stamp on the old one? I'm just curious. Because I did measure 2 of them and the difference between me alone on the scale and me holding the sash on the scale, was 19 lbs.

Hi Jason,

I wouldn't be able to confirm the weight range that your existing stamp can hold, especially since it isn't the exact same. However, if I were to cross-reference it with our stamps, that would be our 2840 stamp option. This can support a sash weighing 23 to 28lbs.
