Need help with window parts

A home owner from Grove, OK says:

Can you help identify which part we need, please. It 1/2 inch one one side and 5/8 inch on the other. The aluminum length measures 23 inches. Stamped on the part: 22 and C and B.S.I. (I think).

We need parts for two window so 4 of these, I believe.

Thank you.

Hey Carol. I am confident we can help you replace this channel balance, but that stamp only tells us the strength of the balance, not its identity. To know the identity, we need clearer pictures of those nylon fittings or attachments on both ends. I suspect the bottom fitting or shoe may be damaged; if you could produce the other balance in the window, or from an identical window in the house, and use the fittings for the photos, that may be best. From there we'll do our best to narrow down your options.

Here are a few more pics. Yes one end is broken. If these aren't helpful, it will be the weekend before I can get actual window pics.

Perfect, thanks! Based on what I see here, you have either our S351-23 or S390-23, depending on the depth of the bottom shoe. That's the only difference between them. I recommend measuring your shoe and referring to our dimensions to confirm the best match.

Based on your old stamp of "22C," I'd suggest going with the 2230 option for the new balance. It should result in the same weight calibration but you can always weigh your sash on a scale to verify. Two balances with a 2230 stamp can hold 12 through 19 pounds, so as long as your sash falls in that range then you should be good to go!
