Opening the window

A handy person from Vero beach,Florida says:
Hello, I just purchased Pan Am/Daryl Window Crank Product Code: 39-017 for 5 windows. 3 windows will open fine but 2 seem like they are locked from the opposite side of the crank. I don't see a lock and I don't want to force the window. There is no movement to open on one side, but the crank side seems to want to open. Is there a way to fix?

Dave Sr. from SWISCO responded:

Hello,

It could be that your window has shifted and the locking hooks on the window will not disengage with the operator. If so, I'm not sure that there is an easy fix. Check one of the windows that open normally to look over the side linkage and the locking hooks to see how they should operate. Also, try using a type of spray lubricant to help the windows operate more smoothly. I'm not sure how your windows were installed but you might be able to remove some of the installation screws and try to square up the main frame of the window. Take a look at the related video to assist you with the troubleshooting process.
