Handle Set

A quick learner says:
Hello,

I recently ordered item 82-261B - Handle Set with Plates, 3-15/16". I was wondering if there are instructions for installing the handles. There are many different screws and can't quite figure out what goes where.

Here are photos of my balcony door, the holes are indeed 3-15/16th apart:

Dave Sr. from SWISCO responded:

Hello,

I would install the keeper first on the jamb at the location needed to engage the handle in the correct position. Then, close the door and hold the handle up to the keeper to confirm that you can lock it. If you can lock it, then that is the location where the handle should be installed. You should have two sheet metal screws to attach the keeper to the jamb. You should also have short sheet metal screws to attach the cover plate if you need to use it. To attach the handle to the door, you will have long machine-type threaded screws to go through the inside handle and thread into the exterior handle. Take a look at the related video on surface-mounted patio door locks, which might help with the installation. Thank you!
