I have a very large tilt-in window (41" wide, 64" tall). I'm looking to replace all 4 balances & sliders (hope I have the terms correct).

The 1st pic is what I'm calling the "slider". All 4 of these are about 1" wide, and 2" tall. I'd also appreciate any advice on how to remove them, as they appear to be recessed in their tracks.

The next 2 pics are what I call the balances. They're not spiral, but are in square sleeves about 1/2" wide, open on one side.

My top window is 26" high, and its balance is 22" long (pictured below).

My bottom window is much larger (38" tall), and it's balance is the same structure as the pics below, but it's 34" long (not pictured, but identical style).

I think these are all about 20 years old. My house has 14 windows, all using similar mechanisms and all about 20 years old, but this is the only broken one

Hi there!

Thank you for reaching out to us. I believe you have the Series 770 channel balance which installs at the top of the jamb with a screw. There should also be a stamp printed on the metal channel that will tell you what strength option you'll need to select. For the pivot shoe, you can start by taking a look at the 15-167. I just recommend you remove an undamaged version from the window so that you can compare the specifications to confirm they align.

We've also related some videos on this page that you may find helpful.
