Patio Door Latch

A home owner from Fort Collins, CO says:
Our patio door is original with the house, which was built in the early 90s. The house's original windows were made by Shelter. I can't find that brand on the sliding glass patio door but it seems likely that it would have been supplied by Shelter as well. We want to replace the entire latch assembly.

Thanks for posting. The mortise lock resembles our 82-226. Please compare. For the handle set, any with 3-15/16" hole spacing, such as our 82-020 or 82-033, should work for you. Take a look and see what you think.

A home owner from Fort Collins, CO says:
Thanks for this info! It looks like the correct Mortise lock. I do have a question about the handle sets. In the installation video for the 82-033 handle set, the latch is on the left. However, our patio door opens to the right and there isn't room on the left side for the latch; it would have to be on the right side of the handle. Can it be flipped and installed that way?

Yes! The 82-033 can be used interchangeably with either right or left hand facing doors. The thumb lever is a separate component that can be flipped around to any position it needs to go to ensure compatibility with your setup.
