Pella Proline XO sliding door thumb lock (13 years old)

A quick learner from Illinois says:
Hi, I wonder if this thumb lock is a Pella Proline XO sliding door (sliding to left side) thumb lock. When I tried to press the thumb lock, it doesn't respond to hook that latch will flop back and forth to close/lock the door to the door frame hook. I wonder if the thumb lock is broken and needs a replacement.

Thank you.

Thanks for posting. The XO and OX basically indicate how the door operates when viewed from the outside. The X is the moving panel, while the O is the stationary panel. In other words, if your stationary panel is on the right, and the moving panel on the left, then the 82-253 would be correct.

The problem here might be that with some of this style Pella handle sets, I'm not entirely certain if the 82-253 and 82-252 are compatible. These are our closest matches, but Pella can be very tricky in regards to getting replacement hardware. You may need to contact a Pella dealer specifically for assistance. I apologize for any inconvenience.
