Pile weatherstripping on old Kawneer french doors

A home owner from New York says:

How long is the pile on the weatherstripping on this face plate? It doesn't say in the product description. We will likely need somewhere around 3/8 and just want to know if we need to order some other pile in order to replace the one that comes with the face plate.

Thanks for your question. The base of the wool pile on our 79-029 is 1/4" in the height. You may be able to install some small washers behind the plate to build it up along with some longer screws.
