Plastic revolving latch is old and cracks very easily

A quick learner from Dundee, NY says:
Hi. Our windows are about 24 years old. They are in great shape, but the internal plastic parts have become ridged and break easily. That?s especially a problem with the rotating mechanism that attaches to the coil. Many thanks for and help you can provide!

Thanks for posting. I am afraid your coil springs are no longer made. However, if they are still in good condition, you will just need to replace your pivot shoe with something like our 15-141. Just look over the measurements to confirm they are a match with yours. If you should also need to replace the springs, then you will need to replace both pieces. See our 15-140 pivot shoe and Series 150 coil springs and see what you think.

A quick learner from Dundee says:
Great! This should fix the problem. The springs are in OK condition, so having new pivot shoes will make life easier! Many thanks!
