Please Help Identify a Replacement for This Vinyl Window Part Whose String Was Broken

A home owner from Connecticut says:
Please help identify this part whose string broke off as we were closing the window. I think it supports the window and enables the window to go up and down with support. The string broke and so the upper window does not hold up by itself anymore.

Our window is Double Hung with Vinyl Frame.

It was manufactured exclusively for Excel Homes in October of 2001.

Our vinyl window height = 57 and 1/4 inch
window width = 35 and 1/2 inch

We have removed the mechanism alongside the vinyl window and have sent photos of the part we need to replace..

The Length of the removed Metal Bar = 26 and 1/16 inch, same length for both metal bars removed

The Thickness of the removed Metal Bar = 1/2 inch

Identifying Mark on each of the two Metal Bars = 268 on both metal bars

Please let us know if you have a part that is suitable as a replacement for our need.

Thank you.

Thanks for posting. This looks like our S770-26 Tilt Window Channel Balance. Please compare and let me know if you agree. You need to choose a stamp option for these balances, which simply designates the weight range the balance is calibrated to support. That stamp I believe actually reads '26B', which correlates with our stamp option of 26B, which designates a balance that can support a window sash in the weight range of 11 through 17 pounds. Let me know if that makes sense, or if you have any other questions.
