Replacement

A quick learner from Houston says:
Our window is 30" in height and 33" in width. They are difficult to open, it sounds like a spring inside is having a difficult time releasing tension. Do you have a replacement tension rod?

Thanks for posting. You are correct, it sounds like the spring mechanism inside the spiral balance is damaged. From what I can see, I believe this is a non-tilt window. Please confirm. You will need to measure the diameter of the tube to confirm if it is either 3/8" or 5/8". We'll need the length of the outer tube, and a picture of whatever bracket or appendage is at the bottom of the spiral rod. You will need to remove the spiral balance from the window to do all this.
