Replacement spring and pivot for Simonton window

A home owner from Seneca Falls says:
Please recommend replacement components. The coil springs aren't marked, the window sash weighs 38lbs. The springs are 0.75" wide. I'll need the spring assembly and the pivot shoe. Thanks!

Thanks for posting. The closest exact match we have to this Simonton setup is the Certainteed 15-192 shoe, which uses Series 170 and Series 171 Coil Balances. However we've found the Certainteed shoes don't fit Simonton windows very well; not without rubbing down the alignment nubs on the face of the shoe anyway, and even then it may not work.

For simplicity, I suggest you consider a substitute option we came up with: our 15-259 shoe, which uses Series 159 Coil Balances. We have a video below that takes you through the entire process. For a 38 pound sash, you could use the S159-12 12.5 pound spring and the S159-6 6.5 pound spring on both sides of the sash. This would give you 19 pounds of support on both sides of the window, for an overall total of 38 pounds. Let me know if you have further questions about this.
