Sash weight out of range

A quick learner from Texas says:
Trying to find the balance that will work for a sash weight of 39.9 lbs and a glass height of 35 1/4". The S795-36 has the correct dimensions as far as channel width/depth but the weight doesn't match. I don't have any pics due to the window not having balances to remove

Hello,

We may be able to supply S795-36 balances calibrated to support a 40-pound window sash but we would have no way of knowing if they would work for you since we recommend replacement balances based on what the manufacturer used originally.

Is there another similar window in the house with intact balances that you could remove and show us? Even if the window is a different size, it would help us determine the balance series that would work for your window with missing balances. Thank you!

A quick learner from Texas says:
This is what was in the window which is the only reason I was looking at the 795 series. I know it's in there upside down and flipped the wrong way but it seems to fit pretty good. I will get some pics posted of another window in the house maybe later today or tomorrow.

Thanks for getting back to us. I agree that the part in your photo does resemble the 15-195 that comes with the S795 channel balance. If you can remove an intact balance assembly from a window in the house and confirm the length of the metal channel, as well as measure the height of the visible glass in the sash that they support, that will be a good place to start.
