Screen door clip/closer

A home owner from Naples FL says:

The top part of the bracket that holds in the clip?small rod? for the latch to secure has the top part of the housing broken off. Im afraid our pets will get out if we don't replace it soon. We can't find a replacement part. Any help appreciated.
It's approx 2.5" tall and the screw holes are 1-1/4 to 1-1/2. apart.
