Sliding patio door replacement parts

A quick learner from USA says:
I'm in need of compatible replacement parts for an old sliding glass patio door. Please see attached pictures.
I need new handles (indoor and outdoor), the lock, and the keeper. As you can see in the pictures, the housing for the lock appears to be in good condition. There is a patent number on the lock itself, 3.596.954.
Another person online indicated that particular patent number is associated with Swisco part 82-225.
The distance between the two screws on the indoor handle is approximately 3-7/8 inches.
The distance between the two holes on the housing bracket for the lock also appears to be approximately 3-7/8 inches.
Also, the two holes in the patio door that hold the screws for the housing bracket of the lock are stripped. Do you have any suggestions on how to repair those holes or solve that issue?

Hey there,

Thanks for writing in! Your patio door is a Traco brand patio door which uses the 82-214B Mortise Lock and Keeper. In regard to the stripped holes in the door, our senior experts would suggest to try using a larger diameter screw or purchase some type of "molly bolt" from a hardware store in your area.

We do not carry an exact replacement match for the handle set but our 82-030A should work as a suitable replacement. This handle set comes with a keyed lock and a set of compatible keys. If you would like to stick with the wood handle, our 82-020 should as work well, although, you'll need to purchase the 82-306 Keyed Exterior Sliding Pull. Both handle sets have an installation hole spacing of 3-15/16", center to center.

Looking at picture of the lock in part 82-214B that you suggested, the distance between the two screw holes indicates 3 13/16. As stated in my original post, the distance between the two screw holes needs to be 3 7/8. Please reevaluate and advise as to the correct parts needed.

Thanks for confirming. I wasn't sure if that was the exact measurement because you mentioned that it was an approximate distance. I'm afraid that we would not be able to supply you with the replacement mortise lock needed for your repairs. The original mortise latch 82-214 did have mounting holes at 3-7/8", but that has since been replaced with the 82-214B with the mounting holes at 3-13/16" which is just shy of 3-7/8".

I do apologize that we cannot be of better help but please let me know if you have any other questions.
