Spring to lock on door broke.

Hi! The pic has the patent number and references sash controls. It appears the spring that holds the latch up appears to he broken.

Thanks for posting. This looks like the inside pull of either our 82-090 or keyed 82-087. However, if the primary issue the inside lever won't function properly, there's a chance the mortise lock in the door the handle set works with is the culprit. To check if the mortise lock is broken, try manually throwing the lock with a slotted screwdriver. If it doesn't budge, then you know it ought to be replaced. We could help with that, but we'll need photos of the mortise lock to confirm what you have. Let me know if you have further questions.

Thank you! Were you able to determine if the mortise lock was the problem after all? If so, you can replace this with our 82-227.
