Hi Darrell, thank you for posting,

Your door uses an older style handle set we recommend replacing with the 82-080. This handle set has a 4-15/16" installation hole spacing form center to center. Please review the dimensions to confirm a good fit!

For a new mortise lock, please review the dimensions of the 82-268B to see how it compares to the original. Let us know what you think and if you have any additional questions!

A home owner from USA says:

Good afternoon.

I've reviewed the photos the were sent and I believe that this Latch and lock set is what I have on my sliding glass door. In looking at additional pictures I noticed that the Mortise Latch Levers (product code 82.081 and 82.240) in the pictures were 2 pronged. When I disassembled the lock on my door I saw that one of the prongs on the latch was broken (see photos attached). Could this be the reason why my sliding door is not locking? If yes, I will arrange to purchase the latch.

Thank you for your help.

Hi Darrell,

If you find that the thumb lever is the only broken piece, take a look and compare the dimensions of the 82-240.

Please note that these thumb levers can break due to there being an issue with the internal mortise lock itself. I would recommend taking a slotted screwdriver and trying to throw the latches of the mortise lock to confirm it is still in working order to confirm that the lever is all that is needed.

Let us know if you have any additional questions!

Itook your advice and and was able to open and close the lock with a screw driver. The dinensions of the lever you provided match my lever.I will order a new lever and see if that solves the problem. Thank you.
