Window balance

A home owner from Florida says:
There no marking of any kind, and the outer casing is plastic. And i bought 2 online that are to thick 5/8 not good. I believe w is 3/8. Thank you

Thanks for posting. Sorry to hear the 5/8" Spiral Balances did not work for you. That is unfortunately the trick with these old spiral balances that had plastic outer tubes; the plastic is flimsy and tends to become brittle over time, making measurements a real pain. If the 5/8" was too big, though, 3/8" is really the only other choice. If the outer tube, up to and not included the colored tip is 30" long, then see our S900-30. Let me know if you have further questions.
