Window with 4 coil balance springs

A home owner from Philadelphia says:
Hi, my windows each use 4 coil balance springs with a "5" marked on them in the S190 shape/style. Each side uses the double coil supports up top that anchor them and the shoes have the coils screwed into both sides.

Can I potentially change these to a single coil support up top and use the same shoe but only screw in one big 940 coil on each side?

Thanks in advance

Casey from SWISCO responded:

Hello,

It sounds like your window uses two S190-540 coils on each side, which would support a 20-pound window sash. If so, I would recommend using the same replacement coils since using one S190-840 coil on each side would only support 18 pounds. Thanks for posting.
