Thanks for reaching out! There is a chance that we can supply you with the replacement retainer strips you are searching for. Although, I'll need a bit more information to determine if we can supply you with the one you need for your storm window screen.

Would you be able to provide a photo of the strips you are searching for?

Hey there,

Thanks for the photos. I'm sorry to say that we do not carry a replacement for the retainer strip your are searching for. In the last twenty five years or so, storm door companies have found that designing plastic retainer strips instead of using the old fashion storm door clips (like yours) along with a screw is less expensive.

The problem is every different door company, and even the same company, changes the retainer strip almost every year and it is impossible to stock them. We suggest going the old fashioned route and using a 70-180 storm door clip, then drilling a hole for a 33-020 screw. See what you think.

I have the same issue with a Larson storm door. What spacing would you recommend for the 70-180 clips? The window is approximately 73" x 30".

Thanks

For a similarly sized door, I've done four or five on each side and maybe two at the top. However there isn't really an exact science. Just make sure they are distributed equally and that you have enough to hold the panel in place.
