no notch or spot to remove balance spring

on my polaris windows i do not see a notch or spot to remove and relace the window balance spring assembly's do we have to cut the notch in the window track

Hello! Are you referring to a coil balance assembly? It sounds like you may be talking about making a cut-out in the window track. If your window doesn't have one to remove the pivot shoe and coils, you will have to make a cut-out by following the demonstration below.
