replacing balances and window guides

A handy person from ft myers florida says:

all 9 windows are the same size call out is 4.0 X 5.0 finished measurement is 51"X58" *actual framed opening was 52" X 59.25"

4 sash's weigh

30lbs

5 windows were upgraded to dual pane a few years ago (10 i think)

those sash's weigh in at 50lbs

replacing both sides balances and both sides window glide pieces

channel measures 5/8"

metal only balance length 30"

update on the weight of the dual panel ..the scale i used was not adjusted and the 50lbs was actually 45lbs

Hello,

I would recommend starting by comparing the specifications of the S380-30 channel balance to your assembly. Please note that the metal channel would measure 1/2" wide and exactly 30" long, not including the end fittings. 5/8" would be quite wide for this type of balance and your assembly looks fairly standard but make sure to double-check the measurement to confirm. You'll also need 2975 strength options, which will support a sash between 42-45 lbs

As for the top sash guides, the 18-166 top sash guide would be a good place to start but the two guides shown in your photos look like they may be slightly different. Keep in mind that one window should use the sash guides on both sides. Review the dimensions below to confirm if this would work for your repair. Thank you!
