Thanks for reaching out to us. I'm afraid this description doesn't help us ID your balance. In order to help, we will need you to remove an undamaged assembly with the end fittings intact. The related video will go into more detail.

They do, yes! I appreciate you getting that for me. We don't have a stock balance that uses the 15-198 hook but we can still help via custom order. I'll just need to confirm a few details so I can get this moving for you. Can you confirm the length of the balance's metal channel? And may I see a photo of the stamp printed on the metal channel?

Regarding the attachment in your first photo, I'm reminded of the 15-224 but yours appears to be damaged so I'm not sure if this is the same. Would it be possible for me to see a photo of an undamaged version? I just want to make sure we get you the right hardware for the job as custom orders are nonrefundable.

A home owner from NJ says:
Hello Emily and thanks for your help so far. I would like to purchase and replace the 15-224 as I believe its what I need. BUT, it looks to be riveted to the channel. is there a solution to replace it?

The 15-224 inverted link just pops off and on as shown in the video below. I don't know if this is the case with yours but I would try to remove it as demonstrated in the video first.
