stronger spring for guide pin?

I have a metal bi-fold door using guide pin 21-007 on the top and bottom sliding side of the door. When opening or closing the door, the bottom of the door binds on the lower track. I have adjusted the bottom pivot to lift the door as much as possible with out binding on the top track, and adjusted the top and bottom pivots brackets so the door is as plumb as possible. However it still requires that I lift on the sliding side of the door as I open it.

Is there a stronger spring available for guide pins? I have already replaced the old pins with part 21-007. I have many of these doors in the house and replaced the guide pins on the others successfully. This is the only door which binds.

Hello,

It sounds like you have a problem with the bracket sliding in the track. You could try lubricating the track and see if that helps the situation. Also, make sure to check for obstructions in the track like dirt or a stray lego. You'd be surprised what could wind up in there. In the meantime, we'll continue researching to see what other recommendations we could make to correct your problem.

The door is physically binding on the track. Also I just reinstalled it, so I know the track is clean.

What bracket are you referring to? There is a guide pin on that side, no bracket. It is like the guide pin needs a stronger spring to hold the door up.

I believe my co-worker was referring to the bracket inside the track that holds the pin in place. If the track is not the problem, we do have the 21-252, which is a heavier spring that might help you resolve this problem door. Take a look and see what you think.
