take out clip

A quick learner from nevada city ca says:
hi, I have this window and it was in pieces. The sash and channel balances were out. They seem to be functioning. OK, I'm able to pull on the little part and it retracts OK, a little better after cleaning. But I don't have any take out clips, I think that's the only thing I need. If you could take a look and let me know if it looks like that's all I need that would be great. or if there's any other tests, I should make to make sure the channel balances are OK. Thank you!

Thanks for reaching out! There isn't really any tests that we would be able to recommend to you to ensure that the balances are okay. At times cleaning them does help, but it can (at times) be a temporary relief. If you are having issues with the balances, it is likely that they need to be replaced.

In regard to the take out clips, it does appear that you do have them installed in the window in your photos. It is the white plastic piece above the square hole in the window.

The take out clip you'll need is part 16-035A. Look over the dimensions and compare them to your existing take out clip to confirm that this is the right fit. I am confident that this is what you'll need.

Feel free to reach out with any questions.

Hello again! The balances you have are a special, custom balance called an extended travel channel balance. A standard balance from our inventory would not work in its place, unfortunately.

I would recommend double checking the length of your balances as the length of the balances we have as a replacement for these would be 13-7/8".

I'll also need to know the exact number of balances you intend to purchase as you won't be able to adjust the length from the like I'll be providing. Keep in mind that there is an order minimum of (2) balances per custom balance.

Please let me know if you have any questions in the meantime.
