tilt balance with hook

A quick learner from Florida says:
My balances look like your Series 770, except mine tie in to the shoe with a hook instead of that tab.
The stamp says 2850. I need two shoes too. Is that 15-105?
And I have a broken pivot bar, but I understand mine looks like one that has been discontinued. Was that the 26-108? Could the 26-042 do the same job, the length is the same.

We will do our best to help. To start, we need to see both the balance and pivot bar out of the window. Once we have those photos, I am certain we will have more information to provide.

A quick learner from Florida says:

Please quote 6 balances with hooks, 1 pivot and 2 shoes. I have email 2 photos of balance with hook in a separate email.

Regards,

Sikandar

Thanks for getting back to us. We can definitely supply this balance as a custom order. I'm going to email you an order link and price quote right now for 6. We'll be using the 29E stamp, which I believe will be a match for your original. Two balances with this stamp can carry sashes weighing 28 through 32 pounds. You should double check to be 100% sure your sash falls in that range. Custom orders can't be returned for a refund so I would definitely recommend that.

As for these other parts, the pivot shoe is indeed our 15-105. The pivot bar is unfortunately discontinued. We don't have a confirmed substitute, but we're experimenting with a few things in our inventory to see if something works. This is just slow going since most of us are working from home! I hope to have an answer for you very soon on that front.

So after some playing around with different parts, we were able to successfully use the 26-042 pivot bar to fit in the 15-105 cam and turn it. I can confirm that these two parts are compatible. What I can't confirm is that the 26-042 will fit in your sash. That is unfortunately not something anyone can confirm but you. The 26-042 is probably our best bet but I just can't guarantee that it will fit in your window. Sorry we can't offer anything better.
