This is a very old style awning operator. There's a very good chance that it's not made anymore, but we may still be able to find a modern replacement to work for you. 

Before I suggest anything, can you show me a clear picture of the link arm? I can almost make it out in your last photo, but it's obscured by the tape measure. Seeing its design will allow me to narrow down the list of possible replacement options for you.
