window operator

A quick learner from Idaho says:
The gear on the operator seems to be stripped. I'm not sure how to take it apart or if I can replace the complete assembly. it is stamped US Pat. 4505601 on the back. I haven't been able to find the same unit.

Thanks for checking on this. Jay

Hey there,

Thanks for reaching out! I'm sorry to say that you would not be able to replace the worm gear on the operator. These operators are put together using a specific type of equipment. So, you'll need to replace the entire operator.

Take a look at our 39-013 and its opposite handed version, 39-014. These are an updated version of your existing operator. The compatible crank handle is the 39-114L.
