interlocking vinyl glazing

A professional from Beltsville MD says:

I've got this interlocking of vinyl glazing sample and I am having the hardest time trying to find a replacement type. Reason being is that the lock keeper itself gets screwed down on the glazing.
I see you carry 55-187 but not sure how that would work with this application that way the vinyl is made

roughly 1 7/8" tall
Thank you

Tom from SWISCO responded:
I don't think the 55-187 will work. See our 55-178 instead. This appears to have a closer shape. The 55-178, and other glazing styles like it, actually used to be made in one solid piece like yours. However, manufacturers decided to make them "open" to save on materials. They should function the same way.
A quick learner from BELTSVILLE says:
That is the one type I did try and it did work but the lock was unable to function correctly.

I appreciate the response!
Have a great day

Ah, I see. Can you go into more detail? How did the lock fail to function?
