milgard window balance replacement

Quick Learner from california
hi one of my window balance came loose and broke a wing. i dont think i need the wing but im not able to reconnect the spring and pulley (see pic) so im guessing a need a special tool or a new balance? If the latter do they come in matched pairs or does it not matter and can be purchased individually?

stamping on the both balances is the same (see pic) 25 5 B.S.I. RH.
The balance measures 1/2" channel width and 25 11/16 length not including end caps and 27" including end caps. Window is a 36x60 single hung milgard vinyl window about 10-12yrs old. Thank you!

Hello! If your spring has disconnected then you will need a new balance. These are assembled in the factory and I don't think whatever tools they use are something you can buy, unfortunately.

Your balance is also a special type we call an "extended travel" channel balance, meaning that the cord is longer than what you typically see on more standard channel balances. Because of this, and some other details you outline in your description, it means this will have to be a custom order.

Before we begin, can you confirm how many you needed? Our minimum is 2 and we always recommend replacing both balances in the window at the same time. I'm not sure how many windows you wanted to fix. Just let me know that and I can email you a purchase link and price quote that you can use to place an order on our site.

Hi Tom, thanks. im not sure if the pic i sent skewed the image. Here is a better pic with a measuring tape. Also the bottom shoe is 1" deep. To me it looks like the 380 except the channel is only ~25 3/4 vs 26 but your the expert so i defer to you. Ill need two please.

thank you!

Hello again. Your original photos were perfect, don't worry. I know just what you need. Now that I have the quantity, too, I'll email you that purchase link.

Just to note, the Series 380 will not work for you. In addition to the difference in length that you already pointed out, you also have to consider the fact that your balance has a longer cord. There are other differences, too, but those are the two big ones.
