non-tilt channel balances

Landlord from Santa Rosa, CA
Hi,
I'm trying to identify which channel balance and which option I should buy.
The stamp reads 20 9 JW CMC 11
The metal part of the balance is 21" long

Thanks,
Sean

Thanks for your photos. Based on what I see here, you have either our S380-21 or S385-21, depending on the depth of the bottom shoe. That's the only difference between them. I recommend measuring your shoe and referring to our dimensions to confirm the best match.

Note that you will also have to weigh your sash on a scale to pick the best option, since your old stamp of "20 9" is a little outdated.

Thanks for the info Tom.
The bottom shoe is 1 3/32 so I need the S385.
When I went to weigh my sash, I completely removed the sash from the window and weighed it on a scale. The sash weighed 28.25lbs. The highest option on the S385 is 2050 23 to 27 lbs. Is that ok to use? what should I do?

Thanks,
Sean

Gotcha, thanks for checking that. You may need a heavy-duty spring, then, which is usually a custom order. Please give me a little more time to look into that and I'll get back to you ASAP!

Hello again! I have good news. The stamp you need for that sash weight is the 2060, which we just added to the S385-21 store page as a standard option. No custom order will be necessary.

You can place an order directly on our site at your convenience. Please let me know if you need anything else!
