old style pivot shoe vs current pivot shoe ...

A home owner from san francisco says:
the tabs on the bottom of my window do not fit in to the new pivot shoes ...they are too wide ...

can i get new tabs that will work in the new pivot shoes?

i was able to reuse the old pivot shoes, but their days are numbered ...

thx,

Are you referring to the pivot bars that fit into the pivot shoe? If so, if this is a Certainteed window you might need the newer style 26-175 pivot bars; if it's a Simonton window you might need the 26-336. Please compare, and send photos if you're unsure.
