pella screen door latch

I have purchsed the latch replacement part #83-115. My question is: To remove the screen door handle (Part No 83-123), do I use a sharp awl of some sort to pop off the "pella trade mark" tab?
I assume there is a screw under this tab, and don't want to scuff up the handle trying to remove it if there isn't a screw underneath.
