window tilt-out latch button for white vinyl window. It has two 1/8"-square vertical posts underneath that move the latch that's inside the window

Thanks for posting. We might be able to replace this with one of our surface levers for internal tilt latches, shown in this section here; but to know which, I'd like to see a clear picture of those prongs on the underside of the lever. The length of the prongs, and also the distance between them, would be good to confirm. We'll see if we have any match for you from there.

The posts are a little more than 1/4" tall and a little more than 1/8" apart - almost 3/16".
About 1/8" square at the top. The post itself is about 1/16" x 1/8".
Most similar to 26-119, perhaps 26-234.

The 26-234 sounds closest based on your measurements, and going off the dimensions below. Double and triple-check to be safe.

This is likely our closest match. Many internal tilt latch setups are simply no longer made. In the event these prove to not work for you, your fallback option would be to consider converting your window to surface-mounted tilt latches like our 26-228 and 26-229, or 26-193 and 26-194. The video below shows how to do this conversion process.
