replacement parts

A quick learner from Cedarhurst, NY says:

Not sure if you received my prior email. I am looking to replace the current door handle with a new one that fits appropriately. The Storm Door is a Cole Sewell and I have attached pictures of the handle on the front of the door, the parts on the inside of the door and a pic of the Door's registration number (maybe its helpful).

Thank you very much,

Gary

Hey Gary. This Cole Sewell handle set is no longer made, but we've replaced it with our 40-058 or 40-177 Locksets. These are the same, they just come in different finishes. Take a look at this hardware, review the pictures and specifications, and see if you think you could get this lockset style to work for you.

Sorry for the delayed response. Thx for your help.

One question to start - it seems as though this handle set is not the same size as the one that has to be replaced. Although the key lock is the same 2" as the replacement one, the handle hardware is 6.5" inches, versus the 4" one shown above.

Is there a way to deal with that?

Thanks.

As long as the installation hole spacing is the same--and it should be--then it will install without issue. It won't look the same and there may be an outline from the old handle, but it should function perfectly well.
