slots in shoes

Why are there three slots in the top of the shoe in my window frame?

Are you looking to determine if our 15-015 is the right replacement for your existing pivot shoe? If so, I'll need to see a photo of it removed from the window. It would also help to see a photo of the compatible balance it is used with.
