upgrading my sliding door handles

A quick learner from Illinois says:
We have a sliding patio door that we want to convert to a keyed entry door. And I'd like to not have a wooden handle grip.
We started with your 82-226 mortise, but that didn't work out at all.
We know you have a handle for about $100, but that's a lot more than we want to spend. Do you have anything?

Sure, we can definitely help. First, look at our 82-218 mortise lock. I believe this is what you want. As for the keyed handle, we have two parts that should do it for you: our 82-069 handle set and 82-310 key cylinder, which installs on the outside handle that comes with the 82-069 set. See what you think.
