window balance from Milguard windows

the code says 31 4 PD, BSI
length of just the metal is 31 3/4"
width across the channel is 5/8"
came from a Milgard window which only slides up/down vertically (non tilt)
it's a metal block and tackle channel balance w spring/pulley/string inside the channel.
I added photos of the plastic fittings from both ends.
It's a winged fitting
Channel is straight plain style (not ribbed)
thank you!

Hello! We can supply this balance, but it will have to be a custom order due to its configuration. What you have here is called an "extended travel" type channel balance, named for its extra long cord and, to a lesser extent, the unique design of its pulley system.
Before we go any further, can you tell me how many you needed? Our minimum is 2. Can you also confirm the length of the metal channel? Based on your stamp it should be 31-5/8" long.
Once I know that I will email you a purchase link and price quote that you can use to place an order on our site.

We'd like to purchase 2 to start with to test them out.
Length of the metal channel is 31 5/8", maybe 1/16" longer to be exact.
Is it possible to switch to a 'standard' window balance?
It became difficult to open the window(s) so I cleaned the plastic vertical tracks and even sprayed w Silicon but it didn't help all that much. Is this a sign the window balances need to be replaced?

Thanks! Unfortunately, standard balances will not replace your design due to the differences in channel and cord length. You need to replace this with the same configuration or else it will not work.
If cleaning and lubrication didn't make things easier, then it is very likely that your balances are failing, yes. Figure that most balances have a lifespan of 10-15 years, depending on frequency of use. They rarely work well beyond that.
What I'll do now is email you a purchase link and price quote that you can use to add 2 of these to your cart. You may then checkout as normal
