window balance stop clips

I have a viking vinyl window and have the new balance but a stop clip the is in the window channel broke. The universal clip does not seem to work right. Is there an answer for this?

I tried the universal clip but I can't make it work. Your part# is 16-002. I ordered 15-198 and it is the wrong size. The existing old clips I believe are 1-1/4 by 1/4 inch. I can put them in and push to lock but the balance pushes up on the clip and makes it impossible to put the sliding glass pane back in. Is there a trick to this I am not getting. These are vinyl Viking windows.

The 15-198 actually isn't a take out clip. It's a hook used for an entirely different kind of balance. The 16-002 take out clip is most commonly used with Viking windows, so I'm surprised it didn't work. You will need to hook the bottom "U" shaped hook in the hole, then swing the clip up into the other side and snap it in.
