window locking mechanism

A home owner from Oak Park, IL 60302 says:
I believe this mechanism was destroyed/broken because of undue force needed to close the window, note the bent part (labeled "B") that is screwed to the window frame, it is about 1 1/2" if straightened . The part that is attached to the brass pivot has no marking/s, the metal portion is 1 7/8" long; it however appears bent as if it should attach to the mechanism screwed to the window frame at a 90 degree angle (not sure) to lift/lower the locking that runs vertically in the frame. The forked handle 4 1/2" long merely has a marking "glass side". Blaine Hardware was unable to find a replacement for this. Time is of the essence because this repair must be done to sell a condo unit.

This looks a lot like our 38-205. Check it out and see if you agree.
