Sounds like you have an Andersen window. If so, we'll need more detailed information to identify a match. 

The bad news is, it requires taking the balance out of the window, or at least disassembling the window enough to get a clear picture of it. We need a clear picture of every single stamp printed on the balance box. Please make sure to get us a clear shot of each one, even if it may not seem important. 

With that stamp, we should be able to identify a good match. See the video below for more information on how to take Andersen balances out of the window. If I'm way off and this isn't the kind of balance you have, then we'll still need pictures of the balance so that we can know what to ask for.
