window sash removal

A quick learner from maryland says:
cannot remove sash from frame. it looks like I have to push the slide to the right to allow the pin to come out of the slider. The problem is I can't move the slide (18 years of dirt accumulation inside ?). do you think I can remove the screw and that might allow the whole mechanism to move? Do you think I can put it back together? If I can get the sash out I'll send photos of the constant force slider.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Usually, this kind of window doesn't require you to adjust the tilt pin to remove the sash from the frame. See the video below, this shows you how we take out this kind of sash.

thanks for the info. But, I have a 'constant force' type window, not the spiral balance. Do I still remove the sash the way your video shows?
thanks,again, for your help.

Yep, you just raise the sash a few inches, tilt it in, then twist it out.
