How to install a key lock in the 82-306 Keyed Exterior Sliding Door Pull

Accommodates the following hole centers:
  • 2-11/16"
  • 3"
  • 3-1/2"
  • 3-15/16"
  • 4-15/16"
  • 5-5/8"
  • 6-7/8"
How to install a key lock in the 82-306 Keyed Exterior Sliding Door Pull
  1. Remove existing door hardware.

  2. Assemble locking unit as per illustration.

  3. PREPARATION OF LOCK:
  4. A. Remove cylinder lock from outside pull handle.

    B. IMPORTANT: The leg of the cylinder lock must be in upward position when replacing unit, see illustration.

    C. Break off tailpiece to same length of old tailpiece using pliers. This must be accurate.

    D. Replace new cylinder lock on outside pull.

    E. NEW INSTALLATION: Cut 5/8" hole through moving panel to accept tailpiece, taking care to locate hole opposite inside handle locking unit.
