Closer roller wings

A home owner from USA says:
Hello,

I have currently have the closet door roller described in this post:
https://www.swisco.com/discussions/Need-Replacement-77-77474

In this post, and others I read, this part was recommended to replace it:
https://www.swisco.com/Mirror-Wardrobe-Door-Roller/pd/Sliding-Closet-Door-Rollers_Guides/23-064

However, this new part has "wings" on the top and bottom, and there is no spot for them in the frame of the closet door (there is only 1 slot for the wing pictured in the first post). Since part 23-064 has been recommended multiple times, is it expected that the frame be modified to fit it (cutting holes in the frame), or is there another method suggested to attach the roller?

Thank you,

- Neil

Paul from SWISCO responded:

Hello,

In the first discussion included in your post, the customer's roller assembly uses the locking hook that is second from the top, as well as the reverse side bottom door hook for installation. They are not using the screw hole flanges on the top and bottom. Our rollers include both options to make it a more versatile replacement. If you decide to give it a try and run into any issues, our return policy can be found here. Thank you.
